Both have worked in social work in some capacity for over 20 years. During the interview both discuss their experiences of coming out to family, friends, and themselves. Anne Stanback was the executive director of Love Makes a Family at the time of the interview, and the couple talks about their beliefs that gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to adopt children and marry legally. Also discussed is the lobbying process that the organization goes through, and the opposition they face.
