Friends of the Library Book Talk: "A Radical Vision: The life and Times of Elihu Burritt" by John Loughery

John Loughery, acclaimed author of six award- winning books, will discuss his recent biography of Elihu Burritt, a New Britain native and significant figure in the 19th- century peace movement and the fight to end slavery.

Loughery’s other works include John Sloan: Painter and Rebel, Dorothy Day: Dissenting Voice of the American Century, and An American at War: Surviving Bataan, Mukden, and the Trauma of Recovery.
