This session will introduce Connecticut Collections (CTCo), a statewide platform for collections management and public access built on the open-source software CollectiveAccess and run by the Connecticut League of Museums. Now in its tenth year, CTCo is used by over 50 institutions and provides the public with web-based access to over 45,000 objects and more than100 archival collections in one convenient research portal. We will share information about the origins and growth of the project over the past decade, recent improvements to the system, and current and future directions for development.
This presentation was given at the Connecticut Digital Humanities Conference in at the Elihu Burritt Library in New Britain, CT on March 19, 2026.
